Introduction to Career Planning
Before you can begin to search for the perfect job, you must find a way to get a good
idea of what the perfect job looks like, or what you are targeting. You need
a "perfect career target" to shoot for.
This is the first step in your career planning - that is, developing
a plan to get you where you want to go in your professional life.
This "plan" can be created a number of different ways, but more than
likely it will be a combination of career coaching, career guidance,
and completing self-assessment tests to determine your personality
traits, and what types of jobs fit you best.
This is the goal, in this section - to develop a career plan that you are excited
about, and are willing to pursue until you meet the career goals that you settle on.
Once the plan has been created, and you are excited about it, you will be surprised
at how everything else falls into place. In addition to the links below, please
see the career
information (information on specific careers) and career
tests (self-assessment tests) sections.
Please follow the below sections in order, and be as open minded as possible as you
go through the tips to developing your own career planning stage!
